  • Rebuilt a failed User Interface for the Quickbooks Shopping Source. This Shopping Source has been integrated into the most recent version of Quickbooks.
  • Redefined the features of the shopping source and devised a 3 phase roll-out strategy.
  • Created all functional documentation and presented concepts to Intuit's Upper Management.
  • Conducted user focus groups to test usability of newly designed interface.
  • Offered creative direction and oversaw design production to ensure proper execution of interface concepts.
  • Project budget was $800,000 for a 4 month engagement.

    July 2000 - September 2000

  • Created three architectural templates which were used for all of the Bertelsmann family book clubs.
  • Evaluated all 56 of Bertelsmann's clubs in order to find the best presentation for the templates and facilitate rapid roll-out of all book clubs.
  • Designed a full set of back-end content management tools which book club managers use to update books, enter book reviews, moderate discussion boards, run revenue reports, and administer user accounts.
  • Managed and directed a team of 2 designers and 3 HTML coders.
  • Interfaced with Bertelsmann's Project Managers on proposed functionality and user experience.
  • Created functional documentation for each book club, a total of 56 book clubs.
  • Project budget was $1,000,000, of which $600,000 was during my involvement. My involvement lasted about for 3 months.

  • Created the high level design and architecture for $3 Billion a year business-to-business procurement company's web based products.
  • Designed the interface and feature sets for 2 of the company's largest and most widely used products including their enterprise level e-Procurement application, which is in use by Ford Motor Co, Chase Manhattan Bank, Texas Instruments and Intuit.
  • Worked with Metiom's development department to structure a two phase implementation period for newly defined features.
  • Managed and directed a team of 4 designers and 3 HTML coders.
  • Presented proposed functionality and user experience directly to Metiom's upper management.
  • Wrote full documentation of user experience from start to finish.
  • All elements of interface were designed and built to conform to regulations set forth by the American's with Disabilities Association.
  • Project budget was $1,500,000 for a 7 month engagement.

  • Developed the User Interface for Net2Phone's Unified Messaging Service, which integrates voice mail, fax and email.
  • Created the Information Architecture for the online accounting system used by over 5000 people every day to manage their accounts.
